Best gravy ever. This is the only gravy we make for turkey or chicken now. It is so easy and totally delicious.

This is the perfect recipe for when you have little to no drippings to build upon. The onions give it that slow cooked flavor and nice color, the brandy helps build more flavor and the touch of cream at the end just enough fat for a nice rich taste.

I gave this a four because two of my guest said that it was oniony. But I personally thought it was fab....Best gravy I've ever had.

I loved this recipe. This was absolutely the best gravy I have ever tasted and this will be the gravy recipe we use from now on. I used salted butter because thats was what we had on hand and still wasn't too salty. We also did not add the cognac, wine or heavy cream as this was a last minute recipe for us on Thanksgiving but it still turned out great. And like other users I wondered about the onions in the gravy but we couldn't tell they were in there. We also used this recipe for pot roast using the drippings and beef broth and it turned out just as fantastic. As with the turkey gravy we did not add the cognac or the wine. But we did add milk in place of the heavy cream.

I have made this twice. Once with a rotisserie beef roast and once with chicken breasts. The first time I used flour. The second I use corn starch. Both times turned out great!!! This is a new family favorite. I preferred the corn starch. 2tbl in cold broth and no long cooking time works better for me. The brandy is a unique taste that really makes this work and who dosen't like butter. Thanks You!!!!!

I usually don't do well with sauces, I actually bought a can of gravy just in case..The gravy turned out to be the best gravy I have ever had. I loved it!
