I made a smores pie with 8 ounces of them melted in 1/2 milk 2 ounces of semisweet bakers choc. shaves or chopped well. mix till melted and 1 cup of heavy cream whipped..fold into mixture and put in gram cracker crust chill for a few hours in refrig. Incredibly easy and tasty! I added these to holiday cookie bags - super festive and unique! Definitely need the candy thermometer, would have been lost without it - enjoy!

You won't see me at the store buying marshmallows again. These are amazing! I love the airiness and the flavor. They are a little sticky and tough to work with, but it's all fun and worth it in the end. I had a little trouble getting them to set up because I'm in South Carolina and it's so humid. But I just fought through it and improvised. It was worth it!

They do taste good. It is SUPER STICKY and messy getting it out of the mixer. Maybe i mixed it for too long cuz I think the texture Ina had was different than mine. Hard for me to eat one because it's so sweet!!!! But if you LOVE LOVE marshmallows, try this recipe!!

This was the first time that i made homemade marshmallows. Was simple and very puffy and good. There is only one thing i would change, i would add half of the vanilla extract. The vanilla was overpowering, it could have been that my vanilla extract wasn't an expensive kind.

My granddaughter, Emily, and I had such a grand time making these this weekend. She loves marshmallows and I wanted her to know how they were made. So it was a learning lesson and a fun activity. Thanks so much for the recipe Ina.
