I have been searching for a great meatloaf recipe ... tried everything from Martha Stewart's Mom's to Quaker Oats ... this is it! The flavor (probably by cooking the onions first, and the Worcesteshire was outstanding! Also, very simple and quick to make!!! MMMMMM mmmmm ... great leftover, too!!!

This recipe was not only yummy but easy too. I did add sliced mushrooms to the cooked onion mixture and used a combination of pork, veal, and ground beef.

Ina is right about using a fork to mix everything, the meatloafs came out nice a fluffy and it made the best sandwhiches the next day.

I made this entire meal for my husband. The meatloaf comes out perfect - I made it exact to the recipe and everything was superb. I love Ina and have her cookbooks. Her recipes are simple and absolutely delicious. This recipe is one of my favorites to make. The entire meal is perfect comfort food...the brownie tart is to die for and looks like it was bought in an upscale bakery. My husband rates every dinner I cook to this one.

Wow! These are really good. At first I thought they were way too big, until my boyfriend ate 2 of them! Luckily I have one saved for my lunch tomorrow and 2 more in the freezer to be baked another night. I used half ground chuck and half ground sirloin to decrease the fat, and next time I might go even leaner. These are just so moist on their own, you don't need the fattier meat. Delicious!

I have tried every meatloaf recipe from every cookbook I own and that is many, Ina's recipe is different as she sauted the onions and spices, which is the secret! All other recipes are tossed, Ina wins!!!Thank you Ina, you cook with such poise and style.

The sauted onions really make this meatloaf. This is so easy and the ingedients are items most have on hand. I watched this episode and happened to be thawing out hamburger meat and decided to try it. I have never seen my husband eat as much as he did when I made this.
