As with any other Ina recipe I have tried, this is delicious! I used 2 lbs of beef instead of 2 1/2 (it's what I had & I used 1 large onion. I also sauteed a few garlic cloves w/the onion. I did not make individual meat loaves but instead one large loaf that I free formed on a baking sheet. I baked at the same temp for an hour. It was moist & seasoned perfectly..although I didn't measure ingredients, never do unless I'm baking. Thanks Ina for another great recipe!!! I know when I make one of your recipes I will not be disappointed with the end result! :

What a wonderful moist and tasty recipe. The onions and thyme are perfect addition to the meatloaf. Thank you for always being so dependable. Your recipes are always the best! Ina you never let me down. I made the peanut swirl brownies yesterday and they were a perfect dessert. Just ask my husband and sons. PS I didn't make the individual loafs and it did take a little longer.

I love meatloaf and my family absolutely refuses to eat it. I made this recipe and tucked a cube of cheese inside each hamburger patty and my kids LOVED it!! The flavors are mild and the meatloaf was really moist. My husband even took some to work the next day for sandwiches. Thanks Ina!!

This is a really good and has become the main meat loaf recipe I go to. Some modifications I have made start with the salt. 2 teaspoons of salt is way too much, especially with the worchestershire sauce. I love Ina's recipes but have learned to never add as much salt as her recipe indicates but add as I taste. She also loves uses a lot of onions so will cut her quantity in half. In fact, I typically only use 1 onion and find that is plenty, but that's me.
I also really like the tomato sauce and make extra to put on top of the meatloaves instead of ketchup. I do this more by adding more tomato paste than anything else. I typcially use an entire 6 oz can and then add extra of everything else to taste and I get the desired consistency.
Thanks for the recipe, Ina!

First of all I love your receipe's. I told my husband I was making meatloaf and he said when are we having the crap. I told him it was your receipe. : I asked if he liked it and he said yes. So its a winner. We have not eaten meatloaf in a couple of years since I made them from other receipes. Now I have one. Thanks.

Ina, you did it again. For over twenty years my daughter would not eat anything with onions until I made your meatloaf. They were so moist and tender. The favor is unbelievable.
We are hooked forever. Even my nephew is hooked and he concerned himself a goumet cook. You have inspired my daughter to cook.
Thank you.
