My absolute favorite soup is Italian Wedding soup and this was absolutely the best I've ever tasted and the fact that it's so easy to prepare made it an instant success. Not being a fan of dill, I simply added a little more fresh parsley, but other than that, I followed it to the letter and it was fabulous! I brought some in for my boss the next day, now he's got the recipe as does one of our clients. I don't even want to think about what I'd do without Ina's recipes!

Italian Wedding soup is one of my favorites and I've been making it for a long time... as I was taught with turkey meatballs, spinach and only acini di pepe or pastina pasta. However, when I saw Ina prepare hers, I was intrigued and decided to try it. Hers was very good, but not authentic... I wasn't even able to consider adding dill... DILL? does not belong in Italian Wedding soup. This recipe (minus the dill is very good for an occasional variation, however I will stick to my traditional recipe for the most part...

I made this Italian Wedding Soup for supper tonight. And Ina has scored yet 'another' 5 stars for one of her recipes. This soup is delicous and very filling. My husband is on his second bowl as I'm typing *lol*
This recipe will definitely be made over and over. Thank you Ina for all the wonderful recipes you share with us. I haven't found one that we haven't enjoyed yet!

My family loves meetballs of any kind. I love being able to serve something that actually hides the goodness. Vegetables and poultry are key. I used ground chicken but used raw turkey sausage for the recipe; other than that; followed the recipe to a tee. I also used homemade stock along with store bought. This will be on our monthly food menu.

I love Ina and her recipes. I have made this soup in the past, but I make my meatballs with lean ground beef. Could never acquire a taste for ground chicken (even though it is better for you, also instead of parsley I add fresh chopped or dried basil. For the soup I also use basil instead of dill ( dill is not Italian to me. For the pasta I use San Giorgio's Acini di Pepe pasta. They look like tiny pearls. Everything else that Ina uses is in my soup, BUT I add one more thing, cubed or shredded roasted chicken breast. Today I'm making the recipe and I will use two breasts. I roast them like Ina does with the bones in and the skin on, drizzle with olive oil and salt and pepper. Roast until done. This makes it a really hearty soup, especially good on a cold winter's day. Italian comfort food. Thanks Ina.

I just made this Italian Wedding Soup and it was fantastic and easy! I did make one change. My supernarket had chicken sausage but it was $5.99 a pound and very fatty so I made my own chicken sweet Italian sausage with a recipe I found on Food Network from Rachael Ray. I made a double batch of the meatballs and froze half so next time I make this soup, and I will definitely be making it again, I will just have to defrost the meatballs and add them.

This turned out to be the best Wedding Soup I have ever eaten. I read all the comments before making and do this whenever I am making a new recipe, some things can be left out of the written recipe or sometimes a suggestion can help.

Next time I would cup the broth down to 6 cups instead of 10 cups and I agree with another person who posted, I would use these meatballs for appetizers they were so good and healthy.

My found this soup to flavorful and health. A lighter version with chicken. Meatballs were quick and easy!
