These were wonderful, I used parchment paper on my cookie sheet which made it a lot easier.

These cookies are very easy to make and great for the kids to help you make them. They are delicious.

Everyone loved these cookies. They were very easy to make, and my nieces (5 and 7 really enjoyed helping out.

This is the second Christmas in a row I have made these to give to teachers and friends for the holidays. The recipe is always requested. Thank you Ina!

Taste great, easy to make except my dough was so crumbly. I don't know if it's because the butter wasn't exactly at room temp., but i had to squeeze the dough together as i rolled them into balls. I would definitely make again!

I first made these cookies with coconut, as suggested. After 15 minutes the bottoms were black. I then made them again with poppy seeds. Again, after 15 minutes, the bottoms were burned.

I am in my fourth decade of baking, and I think I'm pretty good, but for some reason this recipe was terrible.

I constantly check my oven temperature, so the temp was right. I'm very disappointed, because Ina's recipes are usually right on.

I made the cookies today. They came out delicious. I made a couple of changes to the recipe: I used guava preserve for the filliing and it was great, added an egg yolk to the dough for moisture, and used a beated egg white, plus on egg for the egg wash. At first my dough was flaky, but after chilling it was easier to handle. I'll make them again!

If you don't like coconut then skip the egg wash and coconut and just make an indent and plop in your jam. Wonderful!
