These are the best thumbprints I have ever had. Easy to prepare, and my most requested cookie at this time of year

People are beginning to introduce me as "She makes the best cookies." I've made four batches so far in the last week of this holiday month. I didn't get the flour correct on one batch. They spread very thin but the taste was still just as delicious. I will watch more carefully what I'm doing next time. I've never had a bad recipe from Ina Garten..Thank you!

I am 17-years-old and love to bake. This is the first recipe I tried off the FoodNetwork and it's so easy and fun to make. I've made them a few times for parties at school and my mom's work and it really impresses people that I made these cookies. I love them and I know you will too.

This cookie was the hit of our neighborhood cookie swap. The coconut adds more texture than taste and the density of the cookie is very filling. Way to go Gretchen!

I made these cookies after I received the recipe from a cookie exchange last year. These are so delicious! I did not have any trouble following the instructions & they turned out the way they look on the picture! This will be one of my staple cookies in my home.

I thought these cookies were excellent. I saw Ina make them and then like she did, I decided to hand them out as Christmas gifts. They were really easy to make because there are such few ingredients. Like other reviewers, my dough was crumbly as well. After it was regrigerated, I added just a little bit of water to the dough. The balls were much easier to form. I would highly recommend this cookie recipe.

I followed the recipe , I an excellent baker. The cooking time is too long , it should be changed to 15 to 18 minutes at 350 degrees. Also you should not put coconut on the bottom of cookies. This will make them burn quickly and taste bitter. Cool on the tray for 5 minutes then remove to cooling racks or else you will end up with crumbs instead of cookies. This recipe definitely needs some tweeking Ina. I added lemon extract to the cookies and it perked them up a bit.
