These cookies are great! I made them in rolled nuts instead of coconut. They do not crumble and very easy to make.

I made the dough following the intructions exactly but it was too crumbly. I suspect I needed to mix it a little longer to get it right. They were difficult to roll and when I poked to make the thumbprint, they cracked. Worst of all, they got stuck to the baking sheet so I landed up with broken cookies. I had not greased the sheet based on recipe instructions. They tasted very nice though and I would try them again.

These may be the best cookies I have ever had, and that's saying a lot coming from a confirmed chocoholic! The recipe was easy and fun, and I enjoyed giving them out. They are definitely a new holiday tradition at our house. Thanks, Ina! Your recipes are always superb!

i loved this! i usually don't like the thought of jam in my cookies, but these turned out wonderful, not too sweet and the hint of coconut is great too. but some of my cookies' coconut topping burned w/out the cookie being brown. how would I solve this problem for next time?

These cookies were quick and easy to make, and taste even better than they look. They are incredibly nice cookies. The instructions are clear and the recipe worked beautifully.

These were good, and the coconut made them look quite cute, but Emeril's Raspberry Lemon thumbprints won the taste test, and with more butter, were easier to roll, and didn't require chilling. This dough didn't have the same depth of taste when compared side by side. If you really want the coconut, roll Emeril's recipe in it instead.

Either I didn't soften my butter enough, or I should not have used all the flour called for, or I should have incorporated using the mixer more, but my dough was very crumbley and hard with which to work. The results were delicious and very pretty.

These were great!! Such a perfect little Christmas cookie. The dough was very crumbly, but after chilling, I thought it held together fine with no additional ingredients.
