Not too difficult to make, especially for a newbie. They can be time consuming. I used a black cherry jam and a strawberry jam - both were wonderful.

I made these cookies for the first time last year and they were a big hit. I used strawberry preserves (rather than jam and they were yummy. A definite must for the holidays. Thanks Ina!

Oh, my goodness. These cookies are out of this world!!!! The recipe is so easy and soooooo delicious! It's just a great recipe. Please try it for cookies that look as wonderful as they taste. I think children would enjoy making them also!

These are, without a doubt, the best cookies I've ever had. I gave them as Christmas happies in my office last year, and they were a huge hit. They're pretty too. These are now my official Christmas cookies, and I can't wait to bake them (and eat them!! this year!
