This is the closest recipe I've found to the thumbprint cookies my grandmother used to make. My grandmother used to roll them in nuts and fill the thumbprints with icing flowers. Ina's cookies are heavier than grandma's and not as sweet (probably because of the icing but excellet nonetheless. Great with a cup of tea!

This recipe was so easy and so delicious! You can subtract the coconut from the recipe and the cookies will still come out wonderfully.

Everyone at the office loved these cookies. I made them for Holiday presents and gave them out. I had at least 6 people asking me for the recipe... Definitely a hit that I will make again!

Heavenly melt-in-your mouth cookies. On a whim,I used apricot jam and added a bit of lemon extract....just to make them a little different from the traditional raspberry pecan thumbprints. Delicious!

These are by FAR the BEST jam thumbprint cookies I've ever had. They take a little time with the jam, but it's WELL worth it in the end!
