I've been making these every year for christmas ever since I saw Ina make them a few years ago. They're divine! The coconut toasts while they're in the oven which just gives them wonderful flavor. So buttery and delicious!

These are the best cookies I've ever tasted. If you place the pan too low to the bottom they will burn. Use the middle rack. Also, don't place cookie dough on a hot cookie sheet because it will burn. The recipe is exact. My son's favorite cookies!!

I make these every Christmas and people knock each other over to get as many as possible. They are easy and so delicious.

These are awesome! Next time I will double or triple the batch. I followed the directions exactly and I had no issues with anything. Just a perfect cookie that is beautiful and festive for Christmas.

I followed the recipe exactly. But I was disappointed with the cookies. They turned out picture perfect but if I hadn't used double the amount of jam they would have been entirely tasteless. Sorry Ina but these didn't work for me.

Great and easy recipe! I didn't use coconut and egg. It was perfect.

I love how this cookie tastes. The only problem that I had was that it seemed to be flatter than I expected. Wonder if anyone else had that problem. I will continue to make them but I'd like to know how to keep them from flattening out so much.

These are great cookies! I made these cookies this year but had some problems. People told me they liked them but I think they could have been much better. The thumbprint for the jam has to be deep or jam is too thin. If you are not careful when you push down the sides will crack. If you try to correct this you will just smash the coconut into the side and it will not brown.
My friend made these last year and they were fabulous. She said she had high quality jam. Raspberry works soooo much better than strawberry, which is what tried this year. Even with problems I will definitely try these cookies again. It was me not the recipie!!!

Thank you, Ina! I made these for Thanksgiving using apricot and raspberry jam with rave reviews from family and friends. These cookies inspired me to make a red-themed Christmas cookie smapler to send to family and friends. What a hit! Several folks asked for the recipe and I directed them to to Food Network site. I hope they will check out and try Ina's recipe. The jam thumbprints were rich, sweet and so delicious with a cup of hot tea. They are also easy if you follow Ina's simple and tested directions. These treats are now part of our family's holiday cookie tradition. Thanks again!
