Wonderful recipe! This is an excellent cookie to bring to any party or give away as a gift. A simple recipe that turns out delicious cookies. Make sure the cookies completely cool before touching them at all, and they will slip right off the pan. Ina's cooking and recipes are my favorite on food network. Thanks Ina, my neighbors loved them!

I'm not the biggest fan of shortbread, but because they were covered in coconut and filled with delicious jams, these cookies won me over! Yum! The toasted coconut is amazing--HOWEVER, if I would have let them bake for 20-25 mins., they would have fried! I HAD to reduce the time to 17 mins. max!

I made these once as a trial around Thanksgiving and the did not last long. I made them again as Christmas gifts for everyone in my office, and will make them again for my home Christmas party.
These cookies are simply the best ever!

I recommend use of a Silpat baking sheet to help prevent sticking. Otherwise, this is an easy and delicious recipe. Great for office gifts!

These were wonderful. Had so much fun with my 3 year old rolling up the little balls and dipping in the egg wash. They tasted delicious.

I added an egg yolk when beating the butter & sugar. Thought it might need this extra moisture. The dough stayed together very well and formed easily. While baking they maintained their shape. They taste wonderful. This is a terrific addition to the many cookies I make for the holidays.

Great cookies that are easy to make -- just mind how much jam you use (don't overload it, and mine were done in only 18 minutes.

I've made these a few times in the past couple of years and have tried them with all sorts of jam flavors and even baked them and then filled the thumbprint with chocolate with great results! It's a great, easy recipe!

I made these last year for my relatives and they loved them. I get many requests for them year round. Everyone is already asking if I'm going to make them this year!
