Others are complaining that the refrigerated dough is crumbly. Well, it is, but it makes for a cookie that does not spread flat. So if you like a more button like cookie look, this is the recipe for you. Additionally, it is tasty! Ina's recipes always work. This one will give you rave reviews, you won't be able to stop eating them, and they are also so pretty to give away!

IS ANYONE ALLOWED TO SAY THE WORD CHRISTMAS ANYMORE?!! INA'S ENTIRE SHOW DIDN'T MENTION CHRISTMAS ONCE! IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN CHRISTMAS AND IT ALWAYS WILL BE. IT MAKES ME NOT WANT TO WATCH THE SHOWS THAT ARE ASHAMED OF CHRISTMAS. AT LEAST GIADA STILL SAYS IT. YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO FEELS THIS WAY. JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW.

these cookies take a little time to prep but are well worth it. always a hit. you can make them with the jam of your choosing and they are always delicious. they are buttery and just the right amount of fruit. The coconut texture is amazing! they make you want to savir every bite but you also can't wait for the next one.

These cookies were great for the holidays. You eat one ...you want to eat for than one! Coconut adds interest to the cookie. I'd make them again.

I tried twice to make these jam thumbprints following the recipe exactly and in a professional kitchen .This is a bad recipe and needs some work .I am a chef and for the most part feel her recipes are good . First of all she tells you to roll it in coconut. the problem is the coconut will tend to burn on the bottom, even at a lower temp. Secondly tooo much flour to be a good shortbread cut it back to about 3 cups .and why is she weighing the dough its just more of a hassel wouldn't a scoop work just as well?

I love these cookies! The texture is great and the taste is even better. I made them, along with others for my Christmas cookie platter, and everyone loved them. I just made them for a second time. I had to make myself wait for a couple months, because I would eat them all the time for a sweet treat if I could!

The cookies were really easy to make! I was very surprised by the results--it looked exactly like what Ina made on the episode. You can also use preserves if you don't jam on hand. It worked just as good.
