The taste and texture of this cookie is fabulous!. A decadent chocolate cookie! But the recipe needs some tweeking! Once I measured out 2 1/2 cups of butter I knew that had to be wrong so I looked it up on this website. Thank goodness it was already posted. I baked at 350 deg because I bake every cookie at 350 deg but could somebody please revise the recipe? Once you've got the recipe right try it for sure. It is a treat

These cookies are really good!!!!!! I made them with an oval shaped ice cream scooper so they looked like little footballs, and served them during Super Bowl sunday. They were a big hit. I used 11/4 cups of butter and they were great! I think the TV episode showed Ina doubling the recipe ( I remember she was talking about making adjustments when you double it. I thought these were fabulous!!!!!!!!

Watched it on TV, went to the store and made them right away. Yes, there is a discrepancy from what she says on TV and the written recipe, but just follow the written version exactly and you will have perfect cookies. I did it on convection bake 325 for 13 min and they were perfect!!! The are chewy and crunchy and decadant for sure. Bringing them to a superbowl party today: Will make again, they impress....

Saw this on TV today and tried it this evening. It was really good and really easy it is 2 1/2 sticks of butter which is 1 1/4 cups. If you follow the recipe on the web it is correct and well worth it. It is now one of our favorite recipes.

I watched it again and it looks like she used 2 1/2 sticks of butter. Also, she said to check the cookies after 10 minutes so they don't get too dried out. I haven't tried them yet but Tates is AMAZING!

I followed the recipe exactly as written.... & then used the cookies to make ice cream sandwiches with a premium vanilla ice cream. OMG are they delicious! The cookies are delicious by themselves, but sandwich them around some ice cream and even the toughest critic would have to cave. Thanks Kathleen : 0

So is it 375 degrees as they said OR 350 as printed here?

I heard Kathleen say 2 1/2 cups of butter but HERE it says 1 1/2 cups.....or should it be sticks of butter?

Hmm, do the Producers, interns, and/or the chefs ever look at our comments?

The recipe is incorrect, I'm sure. I made these cookies today, following the recipe, not the TV show. They came out puffy and dry, not moist and chewy. I do believe the amount of butter should be 2 1/4 cups, not 1 1/4 stated on the recipe.

what is the right amount of butter for this recipe. it states1 1/4C but on the show she said 2 1/2C. in watching the show it looked like she only put 1 1/2C even though she said 2 1/2C. so i wish food network.

she did say 375 degrees but it says 350 degrees.
