An excellent appetizer, kind of a fancy "pigs in a blanket" that everyone secretly loves. I was unable to find lamb sausage, so I used a variety, some chicken, some pork, and even Italian sausages. All were excellent and now this is a requested appetizer!!!

I have been making this recipe for the last several years. I make it for my Halloween party and it is a huge hit. I've made it with many different sausages including vegetarian and salmon for my vege friends.

I love Ina's recipes, and this one sounded like it would be great. I think the sausage I bought (spicy lamb sausage from Whole Foods was the problem. The puff pastry itself was great, but the flavor of the sausage didn't taste very good. Next time I will follow the advice of other reviewers and use a turkey or pork sausage.

I used chicken apple and chicken mango jalapeno sausage because it was easier to find. The recipe turned out perfect and is the first thing to go when I bring it to parties. I would highly recommend this recipe.

This recipe is awesome! So easy, fast and unbelievably tasty. So much flavor! I tried it also with pork sausage and turkey sausage and both are also fantastic with the dijon mustard.
Ina - I love all your recipes, you are my very favorite chef, thank you so much!!!

In the array of sophisticated appetizers I prepared for a recent party, these were the hit (as well as Ina's roasted red pepper/eggplant dip. I substituted the brats that were on sale at my local store for the lamb sausage and they still turned out perfectly and were gobbled up in minutes--wish I'd made a double or triple recipe! Great game-day snack too!--the guys really enjoyed it, tho' it was not lost on the gals either!!!

Ina sure does have a lot of male friends who don't seem to have women in their lives. Good for her! <I wonder if Jeffrey knows?>

I couldn't get lamb sausage so I used hot links and artichoke and garlic sausage. Both were great. I brought this to a party and it was a hit. I made it the night before and cooked it there. Easy and delicious.

I was a little disappointed with this one; I'll probably just pop open a can of pillsbury biscuits and wrap around sausage next time.
