Absolutely delicious! The bacon imparts a slight smokey flavor and the lemon, garlic flavors penetrate deep into the meat. I expect nothing less from Ina though, I have never prepared one of her recipes that wasn't amazing. Thanks Ina!!

i thought the chicken was tender and full of flavor over all on a scale of 1-10 i give it a perfect 10

The chicken was delicious and so tender. The bacon was an interesting compliment that went perfectly with everything else. The only issue I had was that the lemons and garlic in the pan burned and ruined my roaster. I am assuming it was from the bacon grease dripping down, but it was still a great eat!

This is the best roast chicken recipe I've tried... The flavours all work well together and the bacon gives it a great smokey taste. Great job Ian Garten you have some fabulous dishes!!!

Chicken fell right off the bone, it was cooked to perfection. The flavors of the lemon, thyme, and garlic seeped right into the chicken. The bacon kept the top of the chicken moist and perfect! I love this recipe, it was easy and hit the spot! Thank you Ina!

Chicken was moist, but garlic and lemon weres not detectable. The garlic didn't "roast" it burned, which is a horrible smell. Too much crust on the bottom of the roasting pan to make the gravy, but my kids loved the bacon. I would use this respie again, but alter it.

Very good , BUT, when Ina cut into her thigh, it was RED juices that ran. Don't do it, OR go to the store first and buy LOTS of T-paper.

OMG! The BEST roasted chicken I have ever made! The flavors were fabulous and my husband LOVED it! So satisfying and the wine sauce was superb! AAAAAA+++++++
