This cake was wonderful! So much flavor and so light. Will be making this again for Easter. I may try making it in a bunt pan for a nice presentation.

WOW.... I can't imagine a better lemon cake. It did take me a bit of time to prep but that's probably just my problem. Well worth the effort. Do set your timer about 10 minutes early and check it as mine was done in 45 minutes.

This was a wonderful hit at the office today! I only have 1 loaf pan, so I made the rest of the batter into cupcakes. I wasn't sure how'd they turn out, but they were great!

I have made this cake before and we absolutely loved it! My husband wants to have this for his birthday cake this year and I would rather not do it in loaf form. Has anyone tried this as a bundt cake before, and, if so, with what results? Thanks

Excellent all around recipe. Try this however - I added 3 TBS of lavender to the pot when making the simple syrup to soak the cake in. I then decorated the finished cake with a sprinkling of lavender flowers. The combination of the lemon and lavender is incredible!! It also works well substituting all the lemon elements with orange and adding chocolate chips to the cake batter. Happy baking!!

Just made this last night for a dinner party--it was fabulous! It's a little time consuming, but I find that all baking (that's not out of a box is. The lemon flavor of the cake is light, but the syrup and the glaze really hit you with the lemon, it's a nice balance. I followed the recipe exactly, except that I halved it because I just didn't need two cakes. It worked out just fine that way. Highly recommend this one!
