    I made this to take over to a friend's house. It was my husband and I, plus two other couples. The two other couples both asked for the recipe. Enough said...

    Tart, yet sweet... extremely moist and slightly dense like a sweet bread. The layering of the lemon in the cake, syrup and glaze give it an intense lemon taste without being over-powering. Right now I think this is about the best thing you could do with about 6 lemons.

    This was a great addition to our Easter Dinner. The kids liked it as much as the adults. Definitly a do again recipe.

    The cake has a beautiful color and wonderful texture, but I found it was not sweet enough - maybe because the icing needs more sugar. Like a pound cake.

    Although this recipe required many steps and bowls, the final product was one that I really enjoyed. I enjoyed it enough that I'm logging in now, several years from its airing and my having first made the cakes, to search for the recipe again!
