Family loved it. I actually thought the cake part (the insides not touched by the syrup or glaze was not too terribly moist or lemony but I made it for Easter and family thought it was perfect...so!

This is my no-fail pound cake recipe. Since my hubby's not a lemon fan, I make it with fresh orange oil, zest and juice. Never fails.

Following another suggestion, we baked this in a Bundt pan at 325 for 50 minutes - Perfect! I whipped 2 cups whipping cream and just before serving, spooned about 1/2 of it into the center, topping the cream and encircling the base with fresh raspberries. I put the extra cream in a bowl on the side (with more berries. Everyone raved, commenting on the fresh tang of the lemon complementing the richness of the cream, and how the raspberries were the perfect match. THANKS, INA!

Ina has done it again. I haven't tried one recipe of hers that hasn't been great! I watched her bake this on her show, and thought it looked like it would be good...I had know idea how great it would be. All my clients love it.

I happened to see this recipe/show the day after returning to Michigan from Arizona with a great big bag of fresh lemons. My fiance and I looked and each other and said "yeah, let's go for it!". Although a little time consuming (as opposed to a boxed cake mix I've now made these cakes twice in two weeks. I just finished the second set to be used for Easter Dinner and my bosses birthday!

I made the Lemon Cake last night for my family and it was a hugh success. It is very light and and full of wonderful lemon flavor. The glaze is out of this world.
