I have made this cake several times, and each time, It has received raving reviews. This cake is one of my favorites!

OMG! I baked the recipe as 18 cupcakes+2 mini loaf pans. I baked the cupcakes right away. I did not put the syrup or glaze until the next day when I baked the mini loaf cakes. (I had put the mini loaves in the fridge for 1 day. Even though the minis went from the fridge to oven 24 hrs later, it still turned out great! I poked cupcakes+minis with a round toothpick and poured syrup mix on. I also placed syrup on a plate & placed minis on top to let it soak in from the bottom. YUM! Glaze was easy to make & yummy!

i halved the recipe because i only wanted to make one cake, didnt have buttermilk so i did 1 quarter cup of greek style yogurt ( tesco own and 1 eighth of a cup ( half of the quarter cup of milk and the cake was fabulous!!! never tasted anything as fab as this cake and wont ever use another recipe....this is a winner and a keeper !! :

The ratings and comments were so high for this recipe that I just had to try it, so glad I did! I followed the recipe to the T, with the exception of the loaf pans. I used a bundt pan instead and it turned out just great! I poked holes in the cake to allow the syrup to drain better.

YUMMY! Cake is very moist & light. I did poke holes in the top (especially around the edges to allow the syrup to permeate the edges and brushed the sides with it as well. My husband thought the glaze was a bit too sour but I love it - very reminiscent of a lemon bar :-

This cake was a delight to create & consume! Homemade is the best way to go anyway! I've made this cake for numerous occasions & it is such a deliciously moist cake.

Never baked a lemon cake before. This was a buttery smooth soft lemon flavored cake. Love it. So glad I picked this one from a google search.
