This chicken dish has become a staple in our house. It's perfect to make on a weeknight, or for company. I do it with bone-in, skin-on chicken meat, both white and dark meat (I like breasts and wings, and my husband likes thighs and legs, so I just buy a whole cut up chicken. I just leave it in the oven for a little longer to make sure it cooks through. It comes out moist, juicy and delicious every time. I served it for company the other night and every person emailed me that they wanted the recipe! Ina, you always come through with fantastic and easy recipes! Thank you....

One of the EASIEST and most FLAVORFUL chicken dishes to make. My family LOVES it and it is easily on our once a week list of dishes to make!!! WE used skinless boneless thighs and it still came out great. Thank you Ina!

We tried this recipe last night and loved it. I used skinless chicken breasts and they were so moist and tender. Love it!

My family loves this dish. It was easy & quick. I picked the lemons from my backyard, the lemon flavor was great. I used drumsticks instead of breasts, they came out brown & juicy.

Loved this! Used chicken broth for the wine and dried ground oregano and thyme as well as the garlic, so I didn't need to cook it. Mixed all into the olive oil and coated the chicken on both sides with the marinade. Also used boneless and skinless chicken. Served chicken and sause over fresh linguine. WOW!!

I love Ina and we have enjoyed SO many of her recipes. This one however, was a dud for us. It smelled WONDERFUL cooking, but the flavor was not there for us. I was surprised because I put it together early in the day and it marinated for 6 hours before baking. I used a square glass baking dish, so that the liquid would come up further on the 3 chicken breasts I used. The chicken got beautifully golden brown, the meat was moist and tender...but no lemon or herb flavor. From reading the reviews I thought that I'd be enjoying a lovely lemon flavor or at least the herbs...nope. It's funny how different reviews are for the same recipe. I was surprised to read that some felt the lemon and herbs were 'overpowering' since we could barely detect them. It WAS an easy dish, and it tasted fine...it just didn't have the flavor we would have liked.

Sooooo delicious. I made it earlier in the day and kept it in the fridge which made it really easy to just throw in the oven. Such an intense lemon flavor that mingled with the rice I served it with. I used skinless breasts and they were juicy and tender. Easy, elegant and fabulous. It will be on my list of company dinners!!
