I made this recipe two times -- the first time, I followed Ina's instructions almost exactly, except I used only two cloves of garlic. It turned out well, but not amazing. I don't love the flavor of thyme, and the oregano was very overpowering. The second time, I used a little less olive oil and added a splash of chicken stock. I also used only two cloves of garlic, and substituted fresh dill for the thyme and oregano. This time, it was FANTASTIC. I made this for a dinner party and it was a total hit. Everybody was shocked about how tender and juicy the chicken was, and couldn't believe that I used plain old chicken breasts from my low-budget grocery store. The first time i made it, I would give it three stars, and the second time I'd give it five stars (hence the four star rating. This is a great recipe for entertaining when you want to make something a little more special than ordinary dinner fare, but don't want to break the bank or splurge on fancy specialty items.

Very tasty, I also used lemon pepper seasoning, we love lemony foods. Will make again soon.

I tried this recipe with both boneless chicken breasts and bone-in chicken pieces (mixture breast, thighs, and legs and we liked it much better with the bone-in chicken pieces.

Maybe I did something wrong. I couldn't find any boneless chicken breasts with the skin on, so used bone in half chicken breasts with skin instead. The sauce smelled delicious and the browned skin looked great, but my husband and I both thought the chicken itself didn't have any special flavor. Maybe it needed to be marinated. I was kind of disappointed because it looked great and simple on the video, and most of the reviews were so good. Maybe I was a little short on the garlic. I'll give it one more try. I only baked two chicken breasts so I cut the ingredients in half. Maybe that's why it wasn't flavorful enough.

I love Ina and her recipes but this one was horrible. The chicken had a little lemon and garlic flavor but the sauce was runny and had little flavor.

This is a GREAT recipe that is quick and easy to do! Skipped the white wine though. May need to try it soon.

Delicious!! We love lemon flavored food. I added extra lemon juice, 1/2 cup as I thought 2 T would be too little, but 1/2 C was maybe a little too much. Either way, it was very good. Next time I'll use 6 T as my husband thought it was very lemony. This was very quick and easy.

I made Ina's lemon chicken for second time tonight and the family loves it even more than the first time I made it. It is so succulent, juicy and amazing that it is the only lemon chicken recipe I will prepare from now on. I also made her creamy parmesan risotto from the cookbook with the same recipe and they are incredible together. Love Ina!

Juicy, tasty and very refreshing. I only peeled off the thin yellow layer of the lemon and everything turned out great!

It was really bitter and not much lemon taste. I'd have to modify it if I were to make it again.
