    Wow! Just wow! It was a gray, cloudy, and blustery day. Perfect oven meal. Don't be tempted to make mashed potatoes to go with this like I did. The croutons are plenty. I put the croutons in the oven to brown because I had other things cooking on the stove top. Perfect! Ina's recipes are always a winner.

    This is the best roast chicken I've ever made. I had some potatoes and placed them around the chicken and they came out perfectly roasted. And so much tasty gravy!! The croutons were such a refreshing idea and complemented the meal surprisingly well. I followed the recipe exactly but I may use more onions next time - they cook down quite a bit, maybe triple the amount called for. Other than that, I really wouldn't change a thing.

    De-Lish-ous! Easy to make and extremely tasty! What amazed me the most about this recipe is the thickness of the gravy that it made. Thanks Ina, you rock!

    Absolutely amazing. I have four men living in this house and they literally pick the bird clean everytime I make this. So delicious with a green salad. Nothing else necessary! Make this tonight!

    I hardly ever take the time to write a review but this is the exception! What a wonderful recipe. Did not change a thing. Fabulous tastes. Love the crunchy/chewy croutons with juices/drippings drizzled over. This is a keeper and sure to be a family favorite for years to come. Thanks!

    This is the best and easiest roast chicken recipe. The juice from the pan on top of the sliced chicken and croutons, is amazing. I've made this time and time again, and never been dissappointed.

    This is the best roast chicken recipe on the planet...period. The croutons are particularly awesome. I use a thermometer and roasted my chicken to 165 degrees in the breast. It is all about collecting the juices and getting them on the croutons. What a wonderful idea!

    I absolutely loved this chicken. So easy and delicious. The croutons make it. I think I will throw some chopped celery in the bottom of the pan with onions next time and get more of stuffing thing going with the croutons. I love Ina's recipes. I'm browsing the site now to see what I want to make next.
