only needed the juice of one lemon but used the zest of 2 as required. My hubby isn't a Lemon fan. I tested it after the juice of 1 lemon and it was good. The taste got a bit more intense after it cooked so I'm glad only put 1. Was delicious. Added chicken. Oh and baby spinich instead of arugala. And cooked the tomatoes a min before I put pasta back in pot. Love the sauce. Is a go to.

I tried this because I thought it would be good. Ina's recipes usually don't disappoint. I followed the recipe exactly, except I cheated and used store bought grated parm instead of freshly grated (was short on time. I was still surprised when I first tasted it at how absolutely mouth wateringly delicious it was. I served it with simple grilled chicken. I will definitely make this again many times in the future.

THIS WAS SO PERFECT that I had to sign-up just so i could rate it's deliciousness... Made exactly (my lemons were large, yielding lots of zest & juice... Indeed it was lemon-y, but perfectly mellow, creamy & fresh; not at all harsh or overpowering (and i don't love lemons, just like 'em. I do think the Arugula might have had a big affect on the lemon-y-ness, cutting thru the citrus perfectly (seemed like a ton of arugula, but it continued to wilt down further & further. Oh yeah, after-the-fact I read someone's tip to use Sea Salt for the sauce, and I think I will take that into account next time.... Can't wait to make again, and am definitely going try a version with Shrimp added (might omit the tomatoes on that one, so their sweetness doesn't compete, likely for my family's "Christmas on Vacation" feast of the seven fishes, later this month... so so so good! Absolutely PERFECT flavors!

This was loved by the whole family, however I only used 1 lemon. More would have been too much. I used a spinach/arugula mix, cooked the broccoli, tomatoes and garbanzo beans (which was a perfect addition together in a Tbsp of butter. I will be making this again.

I just made this dish for dinner, it is perfect! I did not have arugula in the house so I left it out. I am so pleasantly surprised by the lemony flavor, it is very bright and almost refreshing. Thanks again, Ina. Another perfect dish!

This is a fast, fresh and tasty dish. Easy to prepare, makes plenty, is delicious as the recipe is written, but can be easily adjusted for personal taste or what's available at the store. Spinach can subsitute for argula, can be made without broccoli, less lemon if you don't like that flavor, or chicken/shrimp can be added. Excellent recipe.

We skipped the arugula and kept everything else to the recipe. Everyone loved it, even our two sons! The lemon flavor was perfect and so fresh tasting. Very easy to make and delightful. Next time we are going to have some good hearty bread with the dish so we can make sure we get every last drop of the yummy sauce! This is a keeper.

I made this like the recipe except my grocer was out of arugula so I use spinach instead. I added some cayenne to kick it up a notch also. Everything was fresh tasting due to the lemons. Suited my taste perfectly!
