This is a beautiful and easy recipe. The lemon zest and juce adds a brightness and a refreshing change to ordinary pasta. The shrimp are so much more flavorful roasted. From start to finish this is a fast elegant meal that wakes up your mouth. As a side I went with her recipe for sugar snap peas and asparagus; yum. I fail to see how anyone can ruin any one of Ina's recipes. They are always easy and turn out beautifully.

We had the lemon pasta with Roasted Shrimp for dinner and it was perfectly
delightful. We loved the fresh taste of the lemon and butter against the roasted shrimp and pasta. While we eat garlic on most everything,I don't think in this instance I would add the garlic or wine as some did, If we had wanted Shrimp Scampi I would have used another recipe.
Taste vary between all of us, and afterall, it's the mark of a good cook to tweak a dish to satisfy his or her families palate.

We love lemon but this lacks something. Better to go with the classic scampi sauce that has lemon but more seasonings like wine, garlic, etc.... Ina is great but this one is not her best.

Very simple and very tasty. We probably had more lemon juice and zest as the lemons I bought were huge. But it had good zip. Also added some capers at the end because it just seemed like they should be in there.

We had intended to add garlic but just forgot in the heat of battle. I also think I will add some kind of kick to the shrimp, maybe some dried oregano or something. Next time.

I added a few cloves of garlic to make the sauce more scampi-like & threw in asparagus when I added the pasta. Absolutely fantastic!

This recipe is super easy and the shrimp makes it very elegant. I think it would be great for company.

I don't know what it is about Ina's recipes but every one I've tried has been a complete disaster and totally inedible. With that said, her lemon cake recipe is absolutely to die for!! Anyway, total waste of ingredients. Greasy, way too lemony (and I used a lb of pasta and besides the lemon, it lacked any real flavor. She has said on several of her shows that the best tasting recipes are usually the simplest. In this case, WRONG! I still love watching her show, but I think I'm going to put a moritorium on making her food...besides the lemon cake of course! Ina, your food looks so delicious on your show, but they don't turn out that way...what gives??!!

A light, refreshing dish. I did add 3 cloves of garlic with the melting butter. I then combined the other seasonings in the same pan for the flavors to meld before adding to the pasta. My whole family loved this.

Thanks for the link to Giada's recipe. I agree it was much better. I'm a huge fan of Ina's, but I like a little more flavor in my shrimp dishes. However, I do like the roasting tip in Ina's. That's something I'll use in future.

I just tried Giada's Linguine with Shrimp and Lemon Oil and it is a far superior recipe. First of all, it has more flavor with garlic, shallots and parsley. The olive oil is flavored with lemon. To date, 320 people have rated it five stars! Try this recipe at:

    Ina's
recipes are usually flavorful but you could even read this recipe and tell it wasn't going to have that flavor punch.
