Quick and easy, but it tastes like it was difficult! Our guests ASKED to take some home--the ultimate compliment. Recipe is perfect, no need to experiment with changes.

FABULOUS! My friends are all watching their waistlines and this was a hit! Made it as birthday cake in an 8" round pan and it turned out great. Substituted olive oil for vegetable oil and added more lemon, with great results. My sister wants it for her birthday now.
Suggestions: Decorate with edible flowers & serve with raspberry sauce.
I also threw in a couple key limes for an extra ZING!
    Thanks Ina! You rock!

Fabulous! I have replicated Ina's dessert tray pictured in the "barefoot contessa cookbook" including this cake. Everyone wants the recipe. I poke holes in the top of the cake with a toothpick and use a pastry brush to brush on the lemon syrup so it soaks in better and not a drop goes to waste!

I make my own yogurt and often make too much, so have tried many different Lemon Yogurt Cake recipes from various books and sites. This one is far and away the best I've made. Thank you!

Excellent. This cake is very moist. The tartness of the lemon and yogurt is a great combination. The cake is always a crowd pleaser.

This cake is SO good...I followed the recipe exactly and it is a very moist and lemony cake. I read other reviews from folks who said it was dry...that wasn't my experience. The cake was perfect. I also make a strawberry sauce (Ina and served it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and strawberry sauce...sort of like a strawberry short cake, but much better. Also, Ina's pix of the cake is right on...it looks just like the cake I baked.

Super quick, super easy, delicious! I did change the recipe a bit based on other reviews. I replaced the oil with butter, replaced the vanilla with a 1/4 tsp. lemon oil and added 1/4 tsp. dried thyme. I didn't use the glaze or simple syrup, and I didn't miss it. Wonderful with lemon curd. It got rave reviews and I will definitely make this again.
