    Ina's lentil soup was a huge hit in my house. The leeks didn't look great at the grocery store when I went shopping, so I used all onions this time. I've never made lentil soup before, but this was fabulous with a real depth of flavor.

    I made this lentil soup one day after work. It was super easy and delicious. It made so much soup that my husband and I have been eatting it for days. We froze half and it was excellent reheated!

    Made this soup last night..and it was great!! Easy preparation as well!
    We served this with toasted Ciabatta bread rubbed w/garlic.

    Excellent soup !!! my son complained soup is not a meal until he tasted this. He ate two bowls full !!! everything worked wonderfully together. Once you got through the prep time it was smooth, easy sailing !!!

    Love all of Ina's recipes, however this one, although flavorful was ruined by the addition of kielbasa. I think the lentil soup was terrific without the kielbasa. Perhaps trying regular sausage or chicken sausage is the answer.

    Terrific soup! Wonderfully filling and easy to prepare. I forgot the leeks so ours had to do without, but it was still terrific.

    This may well be the best recipe I've ever found for lentil and sausage soup. I used turkey kielbasa to make it lower in fat, and added a pinch of cayenne pepper for kick but otherwise made it as written except that I couldn't find green lentils. Still turned out delicious with plain old lentils. SO GOOD!
