You can create up to five timers

Ingredients

  • 6 ice cubes
  • 1/2 jigger gin
  • 1/2 jigger vodka
  • 1/2 jigger white rum
  • 1/2 jigger tequila
  • 1/2 jigger Cointreau
  • 1 jigger fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar syrup (see note)
  • Cola
  • Lemon slice, to decorate

Directions

Put the ice cubes in a mixing glass. Add the gin, vodka, rum, tequila, Cointreau, lemon juice and sugar syrup. Stir well, then strain into a tall glass filled with ice cubes. Add enough Coca Cola to fill the glass, and decorate with the slice of lemon.

Note: To make sugar syrup, heat 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water in a small saucepan until the sugar dissolves.

    This version of a long island iced tea is absolutely fabulous and refreshing, and if you follow the directions exactly, you will truly believe it to be the best you've ever had. Once again, Ina comes through with perfection - thank you so much Ina!

    I've never had a Long Island that tasted SO good! I also used Triple Sec instead of Cointreau and it tasted super delicious. All of my guests loved it =D

    This receipe is excellent! It's exactly what you would order at a bar.
    I wish oprah would have her on her show.
