We've been trying to find the "right" Long Island ice tea recipe for a while... when it's right, it just tastes like tea, not booze!

Look no more... this is it. Great!

This drink is not bad for home made. One of the hall marks of a good Long Island is that although it's all alcohol it's very smooth and easy to drink. This comes pretty close to perfect. I think the made from scratchness of this drink sorta works against it though, as in it almost has too much flavor. This is of course just my take on it. I still blacked out pretty well on this cup of inebriation.

This recipe is the best made at home Long Islands I have found. The blend is just perfect, and refreshing rather than too strong.

I hadn't had one of these in years.
Was just as I remembered it except if you are using real lemon juice, I would say to use half of what this recipe calls for and then taste it. I was used to it with a splash of sour mix. Other than it being a bit too lemony, it was very good.

I added a little more sugar syrup to make it just a tad sweeter. Great drink for casual get together.
