    ehh i wasn't a total fan, although my guests were. i think i might just not like the taste of gruyere - i like a cheesier cheddar taste to my mac and cheese. it was very mild and there seemed to be a ton of breadcrumbs on it which didn't add much to the dish. consistency wise it was good, and cooked nicely, i just wasn't a big fan of the flavor.

    As always, I made this exactly by the recipe the first time. It was delicious. Made it again this last weekend and omitted the baking with the breadcrumbs and tomatoes. Stirred the cheese and milk into the noodles and it disappeared. Also used swiss cheese instead of gruyere; saved 10-12 dollars and it was just as delicious!! Thanks, Ina.

    Wonderful. The best I have ever made, and Mac and Cheese is my weakness. Made with skim milk and turned out perfect. Another awesome receipe from Ina.

    This recipe always turns out consistent and perfect. My grown kids fight over who gets to take the leftovers. It is always requested by the family. I made it again and it's great.

    It's so good. Make it and be happy. Gruyere can be expensive, but it's worth it.

    Simple, Quick and DELICIOUS!!! Gruyere a must...don't have to use all of it. Cut recipe back for 2-3 people by following "Grown Up Mac and cheese ratio" and left out blue cheese.

    This was delicious!! I made it exactly as the recipe states, but next time I think I will cut back on the salt. I was surprised that it reheated in the oven easily, and it was not dry, it was just like it was fresh. YUM!

    Delicious. I did not use gruyere, I used a mix of white sharp, regular sharp and mild cheddars. Other than that I followed the recipe completely. LOVED it. I'll definitely make this again and again.
