I had my four closest friends over for coffee/brunch on a Friday morning while our kids were at school and this recipe was PERFECT and delicious! I loved that I could visit with my friends while the bacon sizzled in the oven, instead of having to tend to the bacon frying on the stovetop! And no huge greasy mess to clean up afterward. I used my broiler pan instead of a baking rack and it worked well. I also prepared the bacon with freshly ground black pepper before cooking it. It added a little hotness that we loved. Will do bacon like this from now on.

This is my new favorite way to make my breakfast bacon! I love the texture, the taste and the ease of baking vs frying...

This recipe is the epitome of what I think Ina's style is all about: simple, elegant, and thoroughly delicious dishes. I made this recipe for a pre-Christmas brunch and 4 ladies devoured a pound of bacon within a matter of minutes, with one exclaiming "this is the best bacon I have EVER had." A real crowd-pleaser and a very simple technique that's great for entertaining (certainly better than frying bacon over a hot stovetop and getting spattered with grease!

The maple syrup is a really nice partner with the bacon & baking it in the oven is so clean & easy. I line the pan with aluminum foil or parchment & the cleanup is super simple, too.

You can't go wrong with bacon and maple syrup. And so easy to do in the oven!

I made it for my family and got a standing ovation. They're crazy but I enjoyed it. Thanks Ina.

I have made this a number of times and it is easy and delicious. Don't try to scrimp and use maple-flavored syrup - use the real deal. It really makes a difference. This dish delivers a lot of bang for the buck. It's one of my permanent breakfast staples - particularly if I have overnight guests. Thanks, BC, you never fail to deliver!
