Loved the meatloaf, it was by far one of my best, however, I did tweak it a bit, I prepared the recipe as written but I also added some oregano and italian seasoning to onion mixture...I layed out half of the meatloaf in the pan and made a well in the middle and added some shreaded parmesan cheese I then added the other half on top and pressed it together and then of course added the ketcup on top, it was wonderful, I also, from another receipe i saw wrapped the loaf with 4-5 pieces of bacon...This is by far the best meatloaf I have ever prepared, thank you Ina, you are a winner.....

This has become a weekly staple in my home. Everyone LOVES it! Serve it up with buttermilk mashed potatoes, peas and yeast rolls! Simple and delicious!

This is a good meatloaf - moist and flavorful, but it seems like something is missing in the meat. The ketchup on top makes it yummy, but I would add a few more flavorful ingredients to the meat next time. Ina is my favorite foodnetwork chef and I always go to her recipes first.

I used this recipe to make Turkey Meatloaf. I used 1 1/4 pounds of turkey and 1 pound of mushrooms that I sauteed in the onion mixture. It was so tasty! It also made great meatloaf sandwiches and it was healthier than using ground beef.

I substituted left-over marinara sauce that I had on hand for the chicken stock and ketchup -- very tasty and wonderful for next day sandwiches. I agree with the fork mixing method for lightness.

I've never made meatloaf before and I loved this recipe. However, I made just a couple changes. I didn't have extra large eggs so I used 2 1/2 large eggs. I did 1/4 c regular breadcrumbs and 1/4 c Italian breadcrumbs. I also added 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese. I didn't have Thyme so I substituted it with Rosemary and I added some fresh garlic, about 3 cloves. The meatloaf was absolutely delicious!!

I made this for dinner today. I added three cloves of garlic and four slices of bacon on top. My 17 and 11 year old children that do not eat meatloaf EVER actually ate this and loved it. My 17 year old and my husband actually had seconds. Ina, thanks for a very simple and tasty recipe.
