Incredibly easy to make and delicious! I don't care for ketchup (as a last resort only so topped it w/a chipotle BBQ sauce instead....yummy!

I made a basic meatloaf for my husband the first time and he said he liked it but when I made this recipe my husband raved about it and wants me to continue to make it. Thanks for making me an excellent cook.

I like meat loaf although haven't had it in years. My boyfriend said he "hates" meatloaf, but the craving got so much that I had to make it and get him to try mine. This recipe looked perfect, and it was!! He even loved it and raved about how good the leftovers were the next day. I served it with mashed potatoes and corn - what a quick, easy, comforting meal!

Forgot to mention - I only used 1 medium onion which was plenty. I also used Parchment for my first time, it worked out great, and so did the pan of water underneath.

I've always believed that my meat loaf recipe was the best, and never even considered trying another one until I saw Ina make this recipe on her show one day. I remembered it today when I was thinking about what I would make for dinner, so I made it following the recipe exactly. It is fantastic! My husband loves it, and so do I. I think this will be my recipe from now on.

This is, by far, the best meat loaf ever. I have been making it for a while. I do not add as many onions (only 1 and it is wonderful. My stepson told me this is his favorite. Perfect for a fall evening with mashed potatoes. Enjoy! Thanks Ina.

I read a number of the reviews before choosing this recipe, so I changed a few things. I only used 2 cups of onions instead of 3, and I put the mixture in a loaf pan instead of shaping it onto a sheet.
The overall flavor and texture was very good. Just enough added to the meat to taste like a classic meatloaf. I will likely add some garlic and a touch more salt when I make it again. The recipie was easy and the time for prep was accurate.
The water underneath was critical. Not only did it keep the loaf very moist, but it cought anything dripping from the loaf pan above. Super idea.

WOW! So tender and juicy and very simple to make. I am 12 yrs. old and this is so much better then the plain jane meatloaf my family and I used to make. GO INA!

The family said TOO many onions! Well I tossed in some lamb and pork butt. It was moist and good. I may kick up the spices next time but over all it was tasty.
