Good taste, but WAY too much liquid. The resulting meatloaf was basically a loose mess on a baking sheet. Perhaps the cooking temp is also too low?

Delicious! I used Turkey Meat instead, not the extra lean though. And used whole wheat seasoned bread crumbs. It was a bit to moist for my liking, so left it in the oven 10 more minutes.

I love to experiment with meatloaf. This was a very good recipe. I added 3 cloves of garlic though and about a 1/2 cup of green pepper to the saute of onions for an extra layer of flavor.
I also added brown sugar to the ketchup to go on top. Turned out great!
Thanks Ina for keeping us inspired!

When watching Ina make this, I didn't notice her putting chicken stock in the onions, but I see it listed in the recipe. Any thoughts?

This was the most easy and delicious recipe for meatloaf ever. My husband said this meatloaf is good enough to sell! Of course, I would have to own a restaurant to do that, and I don't. So much for making money selling meatloaf!
I substiituded dry thyme for the fresh and the bread crumbs I had were the Progresso Italian. This recipe is definitely a keeper. Thanks Ina.

The advice to aerate the meat with a fork is worth five stars alone. The seasonings in the meatloaf are wonderful. Followed Betty's suggestion about making individual loafs, left room in the mini loaf pans for draining. We loved it. And we both hate meatloaf. Give this wonderful recipe a try.
