Have been making this recipe for over a year now! Obviously we love it! With many recipes I usually add a little more of something of a little less or add something additional....not this recipe...it's just right. The post that mentioned she added garlic...I'm surprised I don't because there isn't much I make W/O garlic, however, I do not...I love Ina's recipes! Making again tonight and having with Ina's rosted potatoes and brussel sprout recipes.....yummy, can't wait till din din.

Soooooo good!! My husband and I both loved it and can't wait to have it tomorrow for leftovers! My modifications: I used half ground turkey, half ground organic beef, reduced onions by one, added carrots, used panko breadcrumbs. Next time I will add garlic!

Add an egg to get it to stick together. Use 85/15 ratio. 90% is gritty, 80% is greasy. Pull the meatloaf out of the pan immediately, using 2 spatulas if nec. to get the meat out of the grease.

I add garlic, some onion, peppers, worchester, mustard, parsley, parm, bread crumbs and egg to my meatloaf and other stuff. Hubs prefers a meatier meatloaf than mine, but he still gobbles it up.

I just made this meatloaf for dinner, both my husband and I think it lacked something. I will try this recipe one more time, but with a few tweeks to it. I will as one person suggested use Italian seasoning instead of thyme and I think some bacon bits might add the sparks we found to be missing!!! I wiil post again with the new results. If we find this not to our liking I will keep searching for the perfect meatloaf recipe.

Finally a meatloaf recipe my husband likes! Used dried thyme instead of fresh but it was very good. Will use foil next time instead of the paper for easier clean up.

Fantastic, just reduced the onion by one cup, and added green pepper. Also, used italian seasoning instead of thyme.
On my topping i add 1 tsp of Worcestershire sauce and several drops of tabasco (to taste. really good.
