My husband makes this once in a while for something different. With
a glass of wine you can not beat it. Easy to do, great for the holidays. Purchase good ingredients for it always pays off. As with all of Ina's recipes quality does mean something.

This combination is a classic and the different flavors and textures are a perfect contrast. Agreed on purchasing better quality melon and prosciutto, but as with all recipes, that should go without saying. This recipe is perfect for heur dourves in any season.

Since there are only two ingredients, you absolutely must, must, must use the very best melon and prosciutto you can find. This is one of those combos that is awesome or awful because ingredient quality is so key.

I did not like the texture-taste of these two items together. I purchased high quality prosciutto to make these for a Christmas eve 'snack' dinner. I only made six to see if I liked them. Now I'm using the rest of the prosciutto for other recipes.
