I love chocolate and orange together. Don't worry about finding a fancy cake pan. Any large cupcake pan will work. I loved this and will make it again.

I loved that the orange flavor came through, and the chocolate ganache was a nice complement. I followed Ina's recipe exactly as stated and, as always, I was not disappointed! I used a 12 mini bundt cake pan and baked for less time. The leftover cakes freeze beautifully (sans the chocolate ganache, of course.

It kills me to write this, because Ina is my go-to girl and I usually love all of her recipes. However, I just didn't like this one. I thought it was a lot of work and didn't enjoy the end product. My guests said it was good, but nobody finished it. Would stick with the brownie pudding!

Just a perfect, tasty, and flavorful cake. Made it with no modifications the first time, and they came out beautifully. Do use a good quality chocolate for the cake part--it makes a difference. Chocolate chips are fine for the ganache. And if your cake is coming out dry, make sure not to overmix it. Turn off the mixer and do the last two steps with a wooden spoon. It's not a difficult batter to mix, and that lighter touch will make all the difference. I would say this is more of an adult cake; it has some wonderful and sophisticated flavors without being over the top. Yum yum yum!

First of all, I don't watch that many of the cook shows because the hosts drive me crazy! Between "sammies", "yum", "delish", "and can I just tell you" along with Rachel's hand throwing fits and the Neeley's "loving" I just go nuts. However I did watch this one and usually Ina's recipes go over very well at my house, but not this one. We found the orange flavor to be over powerful and the cakes were very dense to me. From the rest of the reviews I am leaning towards "my" cooking! Also may I add that Ina's slurping gets on my nerves too!

This is the very first cake I ever made and it came out very good! Instead of making small ones I made a regular-sized cake. Had to bake it a bit longer. It was very moist and yummy. My hubby really liked it sooo much.

I changed just a couple of things in this recipe to accomplish individual cakes. First I used cannele pans and baked them about 15-18 minutes. I did skip the sugar syrup step becuase I wanted to put the cakes in little bags so I didn't want them soggy. The other change was in the ganache. I used butter instead of cream becuase I wanted the chocolate to be set firmer so I could use the bags. Then you can dip the caked indiviually and for minimal effort make something that looks specatacurly gourmet. I added a few of Ina's dried fruit cookies to the bag and had some really nice teacher gifts to distrubute.

I thought this was a good recipe but nothing special. I almost wanted to put more orange zest and juice in because I couldn't really taste the orange in the cakes. The simple syrup was a yummy addition but these were just ok. I still love Ina though!

Like always..Ina's recipes are so perfect...these cup cakes turned out to be excellent. Really moist with a great combination of chocolate and orange..totally loved it. I wanted to make half the quantity to indulge less but yet with the half proportion 6 cup cakes turned up....

Thanks Ina..making it again today :
