I was looking for a wow desert for my husband's Christmas party. I tested it yesterday. I followed the recipe exactly. All I can say is OMG. It looks more beautiful than any cheesecake in any fancy restaurant desert case. It tastes better too. It may be the best desert I have ever eaten. If I could give this recipe 10 stars I would.

Laurynn, did you first turn the oven up to the higher heat as instructed? Maturner, I believe you can make it 2 days ahead. Just do not put the berries on the cake till about to serve.

Loved this cheesecake! I try a different cheesecake every thanksgiving and this was the one I choose last year and it was a hit. It's a lighter cheesecake (if that's possible with the fresh berries on top. My recommendations: prepare the cheesecake the night before and do not add the berries until just about ready to serve to avoid having the berry sauce saturate through the cheesecake. Also if you desire a lighter cheesecake I mixed regular cream cheese and 1/3 less fat cream cheese together to make it healthier but still palatable.

This is delicious and so easy to make. Just set aside enough time for all of the steps. It came out perfect-without a hint of a crack on the top! I made it for a co-worker's birthday and it was talked about for days. I used strawberries, blueberries and black raspberry preserves. I sliced the tops of the strawberries off and set them cut side down around the perimeter of the surface and then placed the blueberries in the center. It was beautiful. People at work asked me where I bought such a beautiful cheesecake.

I made this for Christmas last year, after my father seen Ina baking this on TV, and I was extremely happy with this recipe. I was very nervous because I'm only a beginner and cheesecake seems like a dessert that would be difficult to prepare. Not not only was this recipe easy, it was very tasty also. And it was huge! We had cheesecake for dessert almost every night that week. I'm definitely going to make this again over the holidays.
