Okay, I was a little unsure when I saw you make this but said what the heck and tried it. Could not fine the marscapone so used cream cheese. Used inexpensive Hard Chocolate chip cookies and only got 4 layers. But what reviews....................This is now in my recipe box. Thanks Ina
Tonight I am trying your French Potato Salad

This is very good & very easy. I've made it for 2 dinner parties & once for the office... everyone asks for the recipe. I had to substitute cream cheese for the mascarpone once & it was still fabulous. I do prefer the mascarpone because it makes it smoother with with a mousse quality. I also sprinkle mini chocolate chips between the layers just for fun!

I used Light cream and I used oreo cookies. I cut down the sugar/1 tbs powder sugar. I freeze it
overnight and Put out 1 hour before serving. Everyone love it.

I can't find the recipe for Alton's thin chocolate chip cookies. Could the person who used them, xxbrightspot, post a link so we could all have this recipe as well. Thanks. Can't wait to try this recipe.

I made that for the first time, and I was surprised with how tasteful it is given the amount of work I had to put on making it; I used the cookies from Trader's Joe.. next time I make it, I will try to use cream cheese instead of mascarpone just for the sake of trying something different; but as it is, it is a winner! :
