We couldn't find thin chocolate chip cookies, so we crushed some regular sized ones up instead. It was fabulous!! The whipped cream was amazing and delicious!

This turned out perfectly and so easy! I used highbrow cookies from Trader Joe's and they worked out great, and sliced very nicely. Next time I may use Baileys instead of Kahlua. Thanks Ina!

Made this for dessert for my family. Oh my goodness the cream filling is divine. I found Tates cookies at Market Street grocery store in my Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Mascarpone was easy enough to find as well. You could substitute cream cheese if need be but the Mascarpone is a smoother more cream tasting cheese then cream cheese is. But in a pinch I would use cream cheese. Love it and put it together in about 10 minutes.

I made this cake for my niece's baby shower luncheon. I did a trial run a few weeks before and shared with my neighbors. It was a HUGE hit. It was so beautiful and turned out perfectly. Made my own choc chip cookies and gave those as favors. It is easy and delicious. Ina is the absolute best.

Best cake ever - gone within 10 minutes after I set it out at a party. I did not have the Tate's cookies but Pepperidge Farm makes a think crisp cookie with chocolate in the middle called Brussels - worked perfect.

Absolutely fantastic! I love this recipe and it is so easy to make. I make the chocolate chip cookies using a premade mix so I can control the size of each cookie.

This was delicious! I looked online and found a recipe for the Tate's cookies, and just baked them myself instead of ordering them. This was very easy to make, and the filling can be adjusted to taste - I like it with plenty of Kahlua and Amaretto!

I have made this several times and it is always a hit. Most people -including me - prefer it made with Baileys Irish Cream. The only problem with this dessert is that there are never any leftovers!
