Loved it! I let it simmer for longer than it said, about 40 minutes. I also added a splash of brandy and omitted the cloves as I did not have them. Awesome.

Everyone really loved this and it was very easy to make. I didn't have some of the "whole" spices and just put the powdered ones in. It makes it a little cloudy, but still tastes great.

SUPER easy and outrageously delicious! I made it for my family's Christmas dinner - everyone loved it and it made our house smell amazing for days.

Tried this recipe for our traditional Christmas Eve party. Started the cider, spices, and orange juice on high in the crockpot around 3:00 in the afternoon. Created a little cheese cloth bag for the spices to keep the sediment down--worked just fine. After the cider came to a boil in the crockpot, I cut the heat back to low and added the wine, letting it steep a few more hours until about 8:00 pm. Only one word to describe it: WOW! The ingredient that really gave it the WOW factor was my own homegrown, homemade blackberry wine. OUTSTANDING. Mulled blackberry wine will be part of our Christmas Eve from now on!

Excellent holiday beverage. I thought that it might be a little too sweet but not so. Perfect amount of sweetness. I bundled up the cloves, star anise and orange zest into a cheesecloth, added everything to my crock pot and set it on low. Heated up perfectly.

We've made this every year for the past several years and it's now a tradition at our holiday parties, as well as special evenings in during the holidays. We put this in the crock pot with the lid on, often making two batches at a time.

Well - Not saying anything that somebody else hasn't already said. It did make the house smell wonderful and it was a great compliment to cold Chicago Day. I did pour it through a coffee filter which seemed to have rectified the "sediment" issue that others have written about.

I've made this several times now. It's so quick and easy and delicious. I make it in the crock pot on low several hours ahead of time. It really brings on the holidays!

This is a winter delight! It makes the house smell wonderful!. The person that commented on the boiling, you have to bring it to a boil because you have whole spices in it. Its a safety issue. And I assure you, bringing it to a boil will not remove the alcohol. You can flame wine or liquor in a pan and it will still have alcohol in it. So sit back, curl up and enjoy!!
