very good! this was my first attempt at potato salad. I like the mustard and dill, makes it a bit standout/different, and added some bacon bits as well for flavor which was YUM. i think the recipe called for too much salt though.. end result is a bit too salty for my taste but other than that i would reccomend.

I approached this recipe with some reservations, as I am not wholly enamored with dill and also what looked to be an overly mustardy mayo dressing. After some review-reading convincing I decided to give it a try. It turned out to be surprisingly and delightfully tasteful, and it was a homerun with my guests . I made it the day before to give the flavors a chance to meld. One thing I also did, was while the potatoes were steaming, I mixed 1/2 the dressing with the onion and celery to take some of the bite out of the onion and some of the rawness from the celery. Since I don't care for a mushy potato salad, I withheld some of the extra dressing and salted throughout just to taste. Definitely a keeper recipe...

This is now my go-to potato salad recipe! I finally ditched the one I've been using for 30 yrs. You just can't go wrong with this one. The only thing I do differently is I skip the onions because I hate onions. Other than that, I follow it to the letter. I don't think I would try substituting dried dill on this one. The fresh dill makes it so special. And the mustard is not at all overwhelming like in some potato salads.

A perfect salad for large get togethers, simple to make and even better the day after. Chilling for more than 2-4 hours allows the potato's to soak in the flavor. Adding jalepenos to give it an extra kick. I now have to teach my wife how to cook, since we are making it almost every other week.

This was simple & tasted delicious. I made it for the first time for guests coming for a Fourth of July b-b-q & my girls, ages 8 & 9 were able to help put it together. Everyone LOVED it and can't wait to come back for more!

Great tasting potato salad without a lot of fuss. The fresh dill really makes the recipe. I had only russet potatoes and it still turned out great. Big hit on 4th of July. Thanks Ina!

This is the best potato salad recipe ever! It can be served the day it is made, but is much better the next day. I love make-ahead dishes so that I can relax and enjoy my guests.
I normally change something in each recipe....but not this one. It will be the star attraction at our 4th of July party. Thanks, Ina!

Has anyone made this the day before? Thanks for any help. I need enough for 12 adults, so I'am sure I will double the recipe.

I never follow a recipe but I did with this one. I do not like mayo but wanted to make this for a BBQ. The only thing I did that was not on the recipe was to make the dressing one day early with the onions and everything. Then I brought out to come to temp and finished it quickly today. I love Ina's recipes as they are so simple. I didn't taste the mayo either!!
