Very good and easy pasta sauce that I have made multiple times. It takes time to roast the tomatoes so it isn't ideal for weeknight meal, I make it on the weekends. I always use fresh tomatoes, I don't like anything canned. They turn out fantastic every time. I also have substituted red wine before and it's delicious.I've made it with 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, and sometimes omitted it altogether. It's good either way, so it's hard to mess up this sauce. Definitely one of my favorite pasta sauces.

I saw the episode today and decided to whip up a batch since I had all of the ingredients. The tomatoes smelled so good in the oven while they were roasting. One thing though, having watched the chef make it - he only gave the heavy cream maybe one turn around the pan, nowhere near the 1-2 cups that the recipe states. More like 1/2 a cup - i followed suit and it turned out really good, in fact I made a pound of pasta and it's ALL gone already. Update: I have found that I prefer the sauce without the cream! It's better that way to me.

AWESOME!! i knew the amount of red pepper would be too much for my liking so i decreased it by half and it is absolutely perfect! best sauce i've ever made. i used crushed tomatoes so i didn't have to blend at the end to make it easier. make it! you will love it!

Indulgent, but delicious!! My husband said it was better than any pasta he had ever had at a restaurant. The flavor was fantastic.

This is by far the best pasta dish I have ever TASTED PERIOD! I like a little kick to my food so I used the right amount of red pepper and didn't cut down, I thought it really gave the dish a nice flavor.

Oh my!!! This was an excellent meal!!! My husband thought I should cut down on the red pepper next time, but I LOVE it just the way it is! And the Sangiovese which was paired with it was a perfect compliment! Cannot wait to make it again!

I followed the recipe except used 2 can of crushed tomatoes so I didnt have to blend it. My husband and I both liked it but it was almost too spicy for both of us, and he likes spicy food. I would make this again using 1/2 the amount of red pepper flakes.
