Thanks you for this wonderful recipe. These burger tasted really goodt! They were so tender, juicy AND flavorful. It reminded me of "Shake Shack" burgers in NYC. Next time I will add a little more mustard and maybe some hot sauce for extra kick..

Thanks! I tried this recipe this weekend and I was impressed. My husband loves burgers, but he told me to make them this way from now on. The onions are absolutely delicious, we tried them on hotdogs ,too hmmm.
My friend and I have a kinda competition going on with recipes, right now I'm one up on her ,THANK YOU!!!

This recipe was so helpful in advice. I had a problem with burgers that were too hard. I just toss them with a fork now and do not over work the pattie.
The carmelized onions are superb. My husband asked me to always serve a burger this way. Many thanks

I did not make the burgers, just the onions...served then with a high quality polish dog with whole grain mustard on ciabatta....to DIE FOR! I will never do caramelized onions without the sherry vinegar again. I love Ina!

These are great, and the caramelized onions are to DIE for! We made these and did them on the grill, with Tyler Florence's Ultimate Potato salad, what a hit!! My 3 year old who rarely eats a half of a hamburger ate the WHOLE thing. Thanks again, Ina!!!

My husband and I loved the ways these burgers were seasoned. We followed the directions, and they turned out perfect. Next time, we'll try the carmelized onions.

These burgers were excellent. We are usually purists when it comes to burgers, just good beef, good cheese and a little salt and pepper with a good roll. But these were wonderful. The only adjustment I had to make was that I didn't have any sherry vinegar on hand so I used apple cider vinegar. They were just delicious! I served them with a small salad of greens from my garden, (baby spinach and baby butter lettuce dressrf with a balsamic dressing I made with dijon mustard, pasted garlic and a little thyme with salt and pepper. For hamburgers, this was an elegant meal!

I follow the recipe exactly but didnt have cherry vinegar so instead I used 2 tbsp of white vinegar and it was so good and tasty! I did put regular salt and pepper and caramelized it so it came out brown just to the right color, thanks Ina, I love your recipes!

This show was on today and we were already going to grill burgers for dinner. MMMMM! I made the recipe for the burgers exactly, carmelized the onions to the recipe except for the sherry (didnt have any but they were delicious none the less. We did use traditional kaiser rolls instead of english muffins, but that didn't detract from the superstar of the meal. Thank you very much for this recipe. I is my go to recipe now.
