These are the best brownies my family has ever eaten. The recipe is a bit lengthy but well worth it. These brownies have a high request rate and appear weekly on my kitchen note board.

I'm not a brownie person but I tried these I half the recipe, came out very moist and delicious. To Ms k. if you notice it clearly states DO NOT OVERCOOK. I'm sure that's what the problem was with them comming out dry try again, it's possible you're oven cooks faster, try shorting the cook time good luck.

Everyone loved these super rich brownies & they were gone in a hurry (except for a few I hid away in the freezer for later. Makes a lot & they are super rich. Used only 2 tbs of instant coffee which was perfect. Had to bake them an extra 13 minutes.

I'm a fan of Ina's recipes for their goodness and simplicity, but these brownies are good and simple perfection. Without even dirtying the Kitchen Aid, these made a terrific dessert for my casual dinner party. I strongly recommend using organic chocolate for the required melted chocolate and serving with one scoop of vanilla Haagen Dazs!

these brownies are unbelievable... i've made them several times and my friends and family cant get enough of them. i split the recipe in half so the batter would bake in my pan, and i only added walnuts to half of the batter because some of my friends are allergic, but otherwise i followed this recipe completely and couldnt complain about one bit. DELICIOUS! you cant go wrong with this recipe... it makes the best brownies ive ever tasted. thanks ina, for another great one!!
