I made these for a large family dinner. Everyone loved them, yes, even the children. No one could get enough! Had to share the recipe. Will be making these again and again!

Great chocolate flavor. Eating one makes you weaken and you'll eat another. The Contessa knows how to bake!!

These brownies are chocoholic heaven!! They are dense, chewy and heavy with chocolate. Every bite is chocolate with chocolate pieces.....my oh my! This recipe is the ultimate in the brownie catagory.

Coffee addition to this recipe makes it standout from other recipes. Also make entire recipe but split in 2 - 9x13 pans, even in the smaller pans it still takes 25-30 minutes to bake. Don't refrigerate mine as it diminishes the flavor intensity. Recipe is not difficult to make and definitely worth the time and ingredients!

These brownies are definately worth the little extra effort. They are delicious. I only added 1TBS of coffee and it was perfect for my taste. The brownies are still VERY CHOCOLATEY and rich. For quicker brownies I'll still use Ghiradelli box mix, but these will be nice for a large crowd or special occasion. Also, watch the cooking time closely. At 30 min. mine were just a touch overdone. I think next time I would take them out at 25 min. for a fudgier texture.

I don't have the recommended baking pan, so used my 10x17x 1 1/2 inch baking pan. Poured part of the batter, up to 1 inch and baked. As a previous reviewer said, it came out goopey. So I just baked it 10 minutes longer and put it in the fridge. It came out really well and was sooo good. Best brownie recipe ever tried.
