    My daughter made these over the weekend when we were visiting from out of town. After taking a bite I was transported to my childhood. Whenever I accompanied my mother to the local bakery she always bought me a brownie. Until now I have never been able to recapture that taste. Both the bakery and my mother are long gone but now I can recreate a nostalgic time in my life. Thank you Ina.

    I was impressed with how simple and good this recipe was. The coffee took the chocolate flavor to a deeper level. I halved this recipe and had plenty for a 9X13 inch pan. If I had made the whole recipe, would have had to use 2 pans. I cut the pan into 40 bite size bars and placed them into cupcake liners for my Christmas Program at church. I can't wait to take them. They are wonderful.

    I made these brownies for my sister 30th birthday party and boy did I get all kinds of comments. These brownies were out of this world. Thanks

    I love the taste of these brownies but couldn't find a 1 1/2 inch pan so I used a 1 inch and I don't think they got done right, a little too gooey like they were raw. I will try this recipe again but I will use less. Definitely need to be refrigerated before cutting into squares.

    These brownies are without a doubt, the best I've ever made. They weren't difficult to make and the rewards were worth it. It is the only brownie recipe I will follow and I've already put it in my keepsake cookbook for my daughter. Thanks for sharing.

    Every time I make these brownies, I get rave reviews. I recently had a caterer ask me for my brownie recipe. I had to tell her that it was Ina's, but that I would gladly share it. It has gotten so that I am known for my brownies (Ina's brownies. I love chocolate, so I have tried lots of recipes. This is the most incredible brownie recipe I have ever tasted.
