This is the most amazing recipe for brownies. Made it last night for an office lunch and learn and was told that this is the best brownie that they have ever eaten. The ingredients are correct as provided and I would definitely include the nuts as they add body and flavor. Extremely rich and delicious!!!!

I made the recipe as is, even used the one POUND of butter. Followed every direction carefully and the brownies not only were crumbly, but were greasy. I couldn't even pick one up without feeling I had just washed my hands in oil.

Super awesome! These are a keeper. We left out the nuts and added a handful extra of chocolate chips. :

I was soo excited to make these for Valentine's Day for my boyfriend and after they came out of the oven, I realized I forgot to put any sugar in them. So, I cut them out in three different heart shapes and covered them all over in powder sugar!!!! He LOVED them!!!! And, now I think that if I had put the sugar in them, they would have been too sweet!!!!!

My family keeps requesting these brownies, they say that they are addicted to them. I agree with another post that quality chocolate makes a huge difference.

I can't figure out what happened but most of them just crumbled when I cut them up in squares - ?? Yes, I did cool them before cutting - all day long as a matter of fact. Still good but not worthy of giving to anyone else - just eating the crumbs here at home!

Looking for a rich, moist, fudge-like brownie?? This is your recipe. Very chocolatey and flavorful, these delightful bricks of chocolate goodness will definitely satisfy. The texture was unlike other brownies. I'd label them dense and tender, not cake-like or chewy.
Save yourself some grief. Here's what you need to do for optimal results: Use good quality chocolate (Ghirardelli or better and use good quality instant coffee (no Folgers crystals people. These two ingredients carry the flavor for the whole brownie, so skimp here and pay the price later.
My rating was 4 stars. I prefer to eat more than 3 bites of brownie without starting to feel sick to my stomach because of the brownie's richness and sweetness. I felt like I was eating fudge. However, this is a great recipe for what it is- outrageous- and they are definitely crowd pleasers.

Hands down the best brownies I've ever made. Not very difficult- I've made both with and without nuts, and both were equally delicious.
