I have to agree with a review that it was a little bland and needed something so I added granulated garlic to the flour and then it tasted great. I also agree with another review that said,"This IS fried chicken". How is it not fried chicken? You're frying it until it is browned. Anyway, I like it. Actually, we have made it a regular menu item in our house. The chicken is tender and the crust is crispy and flavorful.

I've made this several times..and this is the most tasty, moist chicken I've ever tasted...Beats regular fried chicken anyday.

Well Ina, you've done it again!!! This was great! The only change I made was to add more seasonings to the flour (garlic salt, red pepper, etc. and the chicken was AWESOME!!! Lots of flavor. I also let the chicken sit in the buttermilk for a day and 1/2, made a big difference. Enjoy!

I did my buttermilk the way that Bill from Asheville,NC suggested & it was delicious! Next time I think that I will only put 1/4 c of salt. I did everything else the way that Ina suggested & it turned out great! Just be sure not to get it too brown during the frying process, because it may get way to brown in the oven, some of mine did. The white meat was very moist. I will definately make over & over.

next time I'm going to fry it in shorter time..... the oven helps it to brown the skin some more...

A little work, but well worth the effort.
