This Fried Chicken was great, however; when I heard Ina talk about oven fried chicken I thought I could skip the frying part? I figure as long as I am frying it to begin with, why do another step? It was tasty and I always enjoy her show.

I love this! Super Easy and I couldn't believe how authentic and delicious the chicken was. and I only had the Chicken in the buttermilk for 6-7 hours. Note..getting the oil to the 360 degree mark is a must!

I use all chicken breast and the chicken was very moist.

I will use this recipe a lot, especially during the summer. I will deep fry outside in place of putting it in the oven.

I love trying new 'fried' chicken recipes. This is a keeper!! We like our chicken spicy so I added garlic powder, Lawry's seasoned salt, doubled the amount of black pepper and added a little cayenne to the flour. The chicken comes out beautifully brown, yet very moist. Plus all the oil just drains away! This has to be healthier than the traditional fried chicken. I love trying Ina's recipes. You go girl cuz you really rock!!!!!

Very good chicken recipe. I added some hot sauce to the buttermilk for a little extra kick.

I recently tried to prepare the recipe for the oven-fried chicken....it was the worst. I followed that recipe exactly how Contessa prepared it on the show, even writing down the tips she gave while preparing the meal. I was so excited I could'nt wait to start cooking, I even promised my co-workers I'd cook enough for them too. Needless to say the dish was a total flop.....I wanted to cry. I wanted my meal to look like it did on the show. I wasted my money and had throw everthing out. I work for the public and I always speak so highly about the show... I not sure anymore. I love to hear from Contessa herself. Maybe she can tell me what I did wrong????

after preparing this recipe from Ina. Although I am a experienced cook, I just never have been able to "get" fried chicken to turn out as well as I would of liked. Well, can stop here! Kept the temp of pot at exactly 360 degrees, did not crowd pan, roasted on a rack so extra fat would drop down below the chicken. Drained a bit on paper towel after taking from oven, but not greasy at all, and the taste was sensational! Crispy, seasoned perfectly, and delightfully appealing!
